Lexus has released the first official photos of its all-new-for-2014 IS model prior to the car’s first public debut at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show next week.
Heavily inspired by the stunning LF-CC concept, the new IS is just as good-looking as its concept sibling. It features a very interesting headlight setup, and incorporates Lexus’ aggressive spindle grille design – which is already seen on other models such as the GS.
Inside, the interior is heavily influenced by the LFA supercar, with Lexus stating that it has used higher quality materials, trims and finishes throughout. Leg room and boot space have improved as well thanks to an increase in the car’s dimensions.
Information regarding powertrains is yet to be available, but a couple of V6 engines along with an eight-speed automatic transmission are rumored.
