2015 Ford Mustang RTR Spec 5 Concept drift car unveiled

American drifter Vaughn Gittin Junior unveiled his all-new 2015 Ford Mustang RTR Spec 5 Concept drifting car, shortly after the reveal of the 725-horsepower Mustang RTR at the SEMA show.

The Mustang RTR Spec 5 Concept, which will replace Gittin Jr.’s current 2014 Mustang drift car, takes the modifications found on the road-going Mustang RTR a step further, both visually and mechanically.

Design-wise, the Mustang Spec 5 Concept is obviously different from the Mustang RTR (pictured below) as it features flared wheel arches, a set of bright green wheels, an extended front splitter as well as a prominent rear spoiler. Inside, it boasts a roll cage and Recaro racing seats.

There’s no word on power, but we assume the Mustang RTR Spec 5 will pump out more than the 725 horsepower found in the “standard” Mustang RTR’s 5.0-liter V8 engine.
