June 30, 2016 – Porsche revealed the 2017 Panamera yesterday, and not only is the second-generation better-looking, it’s also much quicker as it set a new lap record around the Nürburgring Nordschleife.
In its Turbo trim, the Panamera clocked 7 minutes and 38 seconds, which is faster than an array of sports- and supercars, including the Lamborghini Murcielago SV, Mercedes SLS AMG, Mercedes SLR McLaren and Porsche 911 GT3 (997).
Powered by a 550-horsepower biturbo V8, the Panamera Turbo is now the world’s fastest sedan, beating the lighter 505-hp Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio by 1 second.
