October 5, 2015 – 21 people were injured in Malta yesterday when a British millionaire crashed his Porsche 918 Spyder at a motor show.
According to eyewitnesses, Paul Bailey was driving his 918 Spyder at high speed on an airport runway when his rear wheel touched the grass and the car spun out of control, plowing into a large crowd that was watching.
Bailey and at least nine spectators suffered from cuts and fractures requiring hospital treatment, while five of the injured were in critical condition.
The rest of the show, which was held as a charity event to raise money for the needy, was cancelled.
