June 25, 2015 – Alfa Romeo has finally revealed its much anticipated rear-wheel drive midsize sedan, the Giulia, which targets the BMW 3 Series, Mercedes C-Class and other cars in the compact executive car segment.
The Italian automaker decided to debut the Giulia in its top-of-the-range and sportiest form, which is the Giulia QV (Quadrifoglio Verde) that features a new 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 petrol engine that makes 503 horsepower.
Alfa Romeo says the Giulia QV can sprint from 0 to 100km/h in 3.9 seconds, features a perfect 50/50 weight distribution and uses ultralight materials, including carbon fiber, aluminum, aluminum composite and plastic.
Lower-spec Giulias will offer a variety of turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engines, in addition to an optional all-wheel drive system.
