The new generation of the Jeep mid-size Sport Utility Vehicle is a key model in expanding the success of the Jeep brand in the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East and Africa) in 2014, where it will be available in, Longitude, Limited and Trailhawk trim levels, powered by the new 3.2-litre V6 Pentastar and the 2.4-litre MultiAir Tigershark engines, both of which are paired to the all-new nine-speed automatic transmission, used for the first time in the mid-size SUV segment.
“The all-new 2014 Jeep Cherokee will be the benchmark for mid-size SUVs with a new level of on-road driving dynamics and fuel economy, while at the same time improving the 4×4 capability that customers expect from Jeep,” Mr. Joachim Zeitler, Chrysler Group General Manager at Gargour Automotive Company, the only authorized distributor for Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram and Mopar in Lebanon. “Jeep Cherokee boasts a new design, a nine-speed automatic transmission and two advanced engines, class-leading capability from three innovative 4×4 systems, more than 70 safety features, and a host of new technology features.”
The all-new Jeep Cherokee offers customers the unique combination of legendary Jeep 4×4 capability, superior on-road ride and handling, cutting-edge, revolutionary design, world-class craftsmanship, innovative technology, new levels of efficiency, entertainment and comfort plus five-star safety features that project the Jeep brand into the future.
The new Jeep Cherokee will be available in both two-wheel and four-wheel drive configurations, and will offer a choice of three new, sophisticated Jeep four-wheel-drive systems that deliver benchmark off-road capability under all driving conditions. The new Jeep Cherokee is also the first mid-size SUV to feature rear axle disconnect, resulting in reduced energy loss when 4×4 capability isn’t needed and ensuring improved fuel efficiency. The rear-axle disconnects seamlessly, switching between two- and four-wheel drive for full-time torque management and does not require input from the driver.
