5. Ferrari F12berlinetta
When Ferrari released the first images of the F12berlinetta online, we were completely shocked. Not only is it charming and sleek, it is the Italian brand’s fastest production car ever – 1.9 seconds faster than the almighty Enzo on Ferrari’s test track in Fiorano. And thanks to its 6.3-liter V12, the Grand Tourer sounds heavenly, which is why it takes the 5th spot on this list.
4. Lamborghini Aventador
Lamborghini’s successor to the famous Murcielago is frightening in so many ways. The V12-powered Aventador can travel from 0 to 100km/h in a heart-stopping 2.9 seconds while reaching speeds up to 350km/h. It looks like a fighter jet, and sounds like one. It earns spot number 4.
3. Pagani Zonda
Powered by a Mercedes AMG V12, the Pagani Zonda is a monster of a car. Five-time world champion Juan Manuel Fangio had input in this car’s early development which adds even more to its legendary status. This Italian piece of art’s growl is scarier than that of Slipknot lead singer Corey Taylor; and if it can beat Corey Taylor, it can sure earn the 3rd spot.
2. Porsche Carrera GT
Although no longer produced, the Porsche Carrera GT remains to this very day a supercar benchmark. Probably not as fast as the cars above, but it, without a doubt, sounds a lot more menacing. The 5.7-liter V10’s unique tune will leave you scared shitless, guaranteed. It is our second favorite.
1. Lexus LFA
Nissan’s critically acclaimed GT-R might have stolen most of the attention, but is nowhere near as good as the LFA when it comes to engine sound. Surprisingly the only Japanese car on our list, this baby is as close as it can get to a Formula 1 car sound.; its 4.8-liter V10 unit will make you cry. Lexus LFA, you take a well-earned victory in this one.
