Ferrari LaFerrari production to be delayed due to “big problems with the car”?

Ferrari is reportedly delaying production of its LaFerrari hypercar due to “big problems with the car”, a source in intimate contact with a top engineer on the LaFerrari project has revealed.

The car was slated for a Q3 2013 production, but has now been allegedly delayed to Q1 2014, with sources from FerrariChat claiming that Ferrari is hard at work trying to achieve the performance and weight targets it previously announced at the Geneva Auto Show earlier this year. Other sources from McLarenLife stated that the LaFerrari hasn’t even passed the necessary crash tests.

The LaFerrari features a mid-rear mounted 6.3-litre V12 engine producing 789 bhp and 700 Nm of torque; it is supplemented by a 161 bhp  HY-KERS unit which provides short bursts of extra power, and increases total output to 963 horsepower; the hypercar’s kerb weight remains undisclosed, but it is rumored to be around 1,200 kilograms.
