Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG revealed

Mercedes-Benz has revealed the first images of its all-new A45 AMG prior to its debut at the Geneva Motor Show next month.

The A45 AMG is easily distinguishable thanks to its red brake calipers, AMG front and rear bumpers, in addition to two square, chrome-plated tailpipes. Inside, it boasts sports seats with red contrasting top-stitching, a multi-function steering wheel with shift paddles and a carbon-fibre look on the dashboard.

Under the bonnet is a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine with 360 horsepower and 450 Nm of peak torque; the engine is mated to an AMG SPEED SHIFT DCT 7-speed sports transmission which pushes all four wheels.

The hot hatch should be able to complete the 0-100 km/h run in 4.6 seconds before it hits an electronically-limited top speed of 250 km/h. Average fuel consumption is somewhere between 6.9 and 7.1 liters/100 km.
