February 20, 2015 – Audi has given us a preview of the new R8 supercar ahead of its official reveal at the Geneva Motor Show in March by releasing a video of a camouflaged prototype being driven by Frank Stippler.
Stippler – winner of the 24 Hours of Nürburgring and Audi’s factory driver – is seen thrashing the V10 Plus version of the R8 around the Ascari circuit in Spain, while Heinz Hollerweger, managing director of quattro GmbH, talks about the new vehicle.
The new R8 V10 supercar will reportedly produce 532 horsepower and 539 Nm of torque, with power rising to 601 horsepower and 559 Nm in the range-topping V10 Plus variant which is featured in the video below.
