December 19, 2014 – Nissan has issued a recall for 470,000 of its vehicles worldwide over possible leaks that might affect some of its models produced from 2012 to 2015.
The defect concerns direct injection engines with loose fuel pressure sensors, which due to heat and vibration might lead to a fuel leak, therefore increasing the risk of a fire.

About 233,000 vehicles involved in the recall are in Japan, 143,000 in North America, 71,500 in the Middle East, China, Africa, Latin America and other markets and 22,500 in Europe.
The affected models include the Nissan Juke, X-Trail, Patrol, Tiida, Pulsar and Serena, in addition to the Infiniti M56, QX56, Q70 and QX80.
Nissan says there hasn’t been any reported incidents and that it has begun notifying its customers since last month. Dealers will fix the issue by replacing the fuel sensor if necessary.
