March 13, 2015 – There are good car accessories, like proper racing seats (only if they’re fitted on an actual sports car) or a quality audio system, and then there are bad accessories, from which Lebanon is not exempt. We name five of the absolute worse.
> Five cars that are impossible to kill in Lebanon
Cheap aftermarket wheels
Durability from road hazards (potholes, etc…), durability from chemicals (car wash acids, etc…) and the ability to properly support the weight of the vehicle are criteria taken into consideration by manufacturers when it comes to producing a proper set of wheels. Cheap aftermarket wheels, on the other hand, are not only horrible to look at, but they’re a safety hazard.
Fake carbon fiber
The whole purpose of carbon fiber parts is to save weight, but we can’t deny that they also look really good. However, wrapping your car with fake carbon fiber not only does it not help in saving weight, but it makes it look very ugly, seriously ugly, ineffably ugly.
Fart can exhaust
“If you car isn’t fast, at least make it sound fast.” How about no? Your 1.6-liter economy car will sound bad no matter what exhaust you force on it. The REAL sound should come from the engine, not from a ridiculous exhaust appendage.
Aftermarket LED light strips
LED light strips usually look good when they come stock (e.g: Audi A4), but sticking cheap aftermarket ones on your car is a seriously tasteless exercise, because let’s be honest, they look like they were taken off a Christmas tree.
LED light bars
I understand these were created to improve off-road visibility, and they work better than their halogen counterparts, but to use them on an SUV that can barely get past a small rock, and worst of all, turn them on on public roads, is infuriating and highly irritating.
