Track Battle: 1992 BMW E30 M3 DTM vs 2014 BMW F80 M3

German car magazine Sport Auto takes the legendary BMW E30 M3 DTM car and the all-new F80 M3 for a little head to head at the Hockenheim racing circuit in Germany.

The E30 M3 DTM, which has won the DTM Championship twice in 1987 and 1989,  boasts a four-cylinder engine that produces around 330 horsepower and 290 Nm of torque, while the much more advanced F80 M3 features a turbocharged six-cylinder engine with 430 horsepower and 550 Nm of torque. However, the new M3 weighs almost half a ton more, but will that set it back significantly?
