Track Battle: Porsche 911 GT3 versus Chevrolet Camaro Z/28

December 27, 2014 – MotorTrend pits the American Chevrolet Camarzo Z/28 versus the German Porsche 911 GT3. They’re different kind of beasts, but they were created for the same purpose: to be driven on a racetrack.

The Camaro Z/28’s got a 7.0-liter V8 engine with 505 horsepower and 652 Nm of maximum torque, while the 911 GT3 packs 475 horsepower and 440 Nm of torque thanks to its 3.8-liter flat-six, but the Porsche features the super fast PDK transmission, compared to the Chevy’s manual, and the German sports car is also 280 kilograms lighter.

Despite being down on power, the Porsche’s almost twice more expensive than the Chevy, so can its price be justified on the racetrack? Find out in the video below.
