January 5, 2015 – Without a doubt, Audi’s Quattro all-wheel drive and Subaru’s Symmetrical all-wheel drive are some of the best AWD systems available. But, how do they stack up against one another?
The owners of a first-generation Audi A6 and fourth-generation Subaru Outback wanted to find out, so they arranged a tug of war. The Subaru has the 240hp 3.0-liter flat-six engine, but the unit powering the Audi is unknown (the most powerful engine for the first-gen A6 produced 190hp). However, the German sedan is using Dunlop tyres, compared to a set of Nokian tyres on the Subie.
