May 5, 2015 – Bassoul-Heneine sal, the official BMW Group importer in Lebanon, has announced that the new BMW 4 Series Coupé and Convertible have arrived, adding to an already strong and innovative portfolio of BMW vehicles in showrooms across Lebanon.
With its own unique design, the BMW 4 Series Coupé represents a flawless combination of aesthetic appeal and performance. Meanwhile, the BMW 4 Series Convertible, the successor to the BMW 3 Series Convertible, reflects the perfect blend of sporting dynamism. The new arrivals see the local importer making another addition to BMW’s distinctive 4 Series line, which was highlighted amongst the bestselling models in Lebanon during the first quarter of this year, achieving a 105% sales growth.

BMW 4 Series Coupé:
Representing the fourth generation of BMW’s mid-size coupé, the BMW 4 Series Coupé embodies the sporty nature of the premium segment in every aspect of its design, performance and dynamics. The ‘4’ in its model designation signals outstanding styling and positioning while emphasising not only its standalone design, but also an even greater technical differentiation from the BMW 3 Series.
Exterior features have been developed to highlight the vehicle’s sporting pedigree, starting with a large, wide air-intake in the front apron which accentuates the vehicle’s increased width. This is capped at both ends by apertures for aerodynamically motivated air-curtains which are complemented by air-breathers located just behind the front wheels. Once inside, the interior of the BMW 4 Series Coupé is dominated by BMW Individual colours and materials which ooze luxury. Not restricting user customisations, the BMW 4 Series Coupé also has alternate interior options under the ‘Sport’, ‘Luxury’ and ‘Modern’ lines as well as the M Sport Package as well as a unique combination of driver assistance systems and mobility services under the BMW ConnectedDrive banner – to set the benchmark in terms of safety, comfort and infotainment.
The BMW 4 Series Coupé is available in three engine variants – two BMW TwinPower Turbo engines: 435i and 428i and the 420i. The 3.0-litre six-cylinder 435i and the 2.0-litre four-cylinder 428i are both direct-injection turbocharged delivering 306hp and 245hp respectively. The 420i delivers 185hp and powers the coupé from 0-100 kph in just 7.3 seconds.
BMW 4 Series Convertible:
The BMW 4 Series Convertible represents the fifth generation in the BMW heritage of premium mid-size convertibles. Just like the BMW 4 Series Coupé, the new BMW 4 Series Convertible introduces a new design language that is even more evident in this second model of the series, enhancing the appearance of the BMW 4 Series Convertible while setting new standards in terms of dynamics, elegance and extraordinary driving pleasure – with the top up or down.
On the exterior, powerfully taut surfaces and precise, sweeping lines define the athletic outline of the BMW 4 Series Convertible. The vehicle’s interior blends sporting intent and exclusivity to stylish effect. All of the controls are arranged ergonomically around the driver to provide optimum access to all functions.
The BMW 4 Series Convertible is also available in three specially equipped lines and an M Sport package too. The Sport Line, Modern Line and Luxury Line versions can be selected to personalise the new convertible with special interior and exterior accents.
The Convertible’s in-line six-cylinder petrol engine (BMW 435i Convertible) and four-cylinder petrol engine (BMW 428i Convertible) cover the performance range from 180 kW/245 hp to 225 kW/306 hp and feature the latest BMW TwinPower Turbo technology. The six-cylinder launches the model from standstill to 60 mph in 5.6 seconds while the equally adept four cylinder accomplished the feat in 6.4 seconds. Both engines are mated with an electronic eight-speed automatic transmission – the perfect choice for customers with a passion for sporty driving.
