2014 German Grand Prix Results

Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg secured his fourth win of the 2014 Formula 1 season after dominating the tenth round in Hockenheim, Germany this afternoon. Rosberg drove a comfortable race to finish 20 seconds ahead of Williams’ Bottas who fended off late pressure from Lewis Hamilton to take his third consecutive podium, while Hamilton settled for third place after starting from 20th and gradually moving up the field.

The race got off to a chaotic start, with contact between Felipe Massa’s Williams and Kevin Magnussen’s McLaren flipping the former’s car, thus invoking the Safety Car. Magnussen continued the race just fine and ultimately finished ninth.

Sebastian Vettel and Fernando Alonso took advantage of the collision to gain positions, and after a long battle throughout the race, it was the four-times World Champion who came on top, finishing fourth ahead of his rival while Daniel Ricciardo lost many positions at the start after the incident, but fought back to sixth.
