2016 Formula 1 pre-season test – Day 3 results

March 3, 2016 – Kimi Raikkonen put Ferrari on top of the times during the third day of the second pre-season test at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya as he set the fastest time in all of testing so far.

Raikkonen clocked 1:22.765 around the Spanish circuit on the purple ultra-soft tyres, beating Williams’ Felipe Massa – who used softs on his fastest run – by 0.4 seconds. Ferrari also surprised the paddock by bringing out a halo head protection system for testing.

The Ferrari-powered Toro Rosso enjoyed the most mileage, with Verstappen managing 159 laps, 15 laps more than the Mercedes, which was shared between Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton.
