February 3, 2016 – Renault has officially revealed is 2016 Formula 1 challenger, the RS16, in a black launch livery at its headquarters in Enstone this afternoon.
The French manufacturer is competing in Formula 1 as a full factory entrant for the first time since 2011 under the new name of Renault Sport Formula One Team after buying out the Lotus F1 Team.
GP2 champion Britain’s Jolyon Palmer and Denmark’s Kevin Magnussen will defend the team’s new colors as it aims to “be on the podium within three years,” according to Renault Group CEO Carlos Ghosn.
