In tribute to Ferrari’s latest hypercar, the LaFerrari, Swiss luxury watch manufacturer Hublot has introduced a new hi-tech watch, ironically dubbed MP-05 “LaFerrari”.
Why is the name ironic? Because the “MP” acronym is used by British sports car manufacturer and one of Ferrari’s main rivals: McLaren.
Anyway, the new watch uses 637 watchmaking components, which, according to the Swiss brand, is the largest number of components used on a watch in their history.
Only 50 of MP-05s will be produced, and are rumored to cost around 300,000 US dollars a piece, which shouldn’t be much of a problem for a LaFerrari owner.
