Dubai’s Police Department has predictably added the fastest production car in the world, Bugatti’s Veyron, to their highly popular lineup of supercars.
Major-General Khamis Mattar Al Mazeina, commander-in-chief of the Dubai Police, told the Khaleej Times that the car was purchased as part of an effort to “[modernize] their patrols and intensify their presence in important tourist areas.”
The Bugatti Veyron, estimated to cost about $1.6 million, carries a top speed of 430 km/h and can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in under 2.5 seconds. It is the most expensive car in a fleet that includes two Ferrari FFs, a Bentley Continental GT, a Lamborghini Aventador, a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG and an Aston Martin One-77.
