February 20, 2016 – The first round of the 2016 Lebanese Rotax Max Karting Championship took place today at the Pit Stop Circuit in Zouk, with competitors fighting for victories in 5 different categories.
In DD2, Patrick Njeim took a straightforward triumph, leading from pole and completing the race unchallenged, while it was a different case in Senior Max for his younger brother Matthias, who came under pressure from both Christophe Rizk and Christopher Njeim, but fended them off to take the win.
Carl Rizk snatched the lead from pole-sitter Rashed Ghanem in Junior Max to eventually claim the win, while Sami-Joe Abi Nakhle and Andi Zacca won in Mini Max and Micro Max respectively.
