April 19, 2016 – Young Lebanese kart racer Karl Massaad competed in the X30 Challenge Europa successfully during the first round of the season in Castelletto, Italy, last month.
The 17-year-old, among 26 competitors from around the world, was able to finish the first race in 3rd place, followed by 4th place in the second race, and he led the way in the third race before being disqualified for a mechanical problem. Massaad, who participated in the X30 Super Shifter category in a CRG kart, was the youngest of the drivers.
Massaad is now planning to contend more races in the European championship, including rounds in Spain and Italy, and aims to contest a world championship round in Le Mans (France). As part of his preparation, he’s undertaking practice sessions in RPM Karting Circuit four times a week.
