April 27, 2015 – Mick Schumacher, the son of seven-time Formula 1 world champion Michael Schumacher, has taken his first circuit racing victory during the opening round of Germany’s ADAC Formula 4 Championship in Oschersleben this past weekend.
Schumacher finished ninth in the first race and was the best-placed rookie, and he was 12th in the second race.
The 16-year-old started the final race from second place and managed to take the lead from pole-sitter Thomas Preining at the start, and then controlled the race from the front without making any mistakes.
Schumacher’s results put him fifth in the championship standings, with Marvin Dienst – the winner of races one and two – in the lead.
