Sebastien Loeb quickest in Pikes Peak practice [video]

Sebastien Loeb set the quickest time in his Peugeot 208 T16 during the first official test sessions for the 2013 edition of the fabled Pikes Peak International Hill Climb in Colorado, USA.

Loeb’s  20-kilometre run was divided into two stages with the first half tackled on Saturday (8th of June) and the second half on Sunday.

“I feel very confident with the car. That’s a reassuring start, if only because of the speeds we get up to here. We are already getting close to the limit in many places. All we need to do now is make some detail changes and we will be ready for the Big Day!” said Loeb after setting the fastest time on both days.

The nine-times world rally champion previously conducted a test in Southern France’s Mont Ventoux before landing in Colorado. Loeb and Peugeot will be aiming to win the event and break Rhys Millen’s record run – set last year on a Hyundai Genesis Coupe.
