Sebastien Ogier has extended his Rally Italia Sardegna lead on Friday’s afternoon loop.
The Frenchman was second quickest to Thierry Neuville on the afternoon’s first couple of special stages (SS4 and SS5), nevertheless, his gap to second-placed Mikko Hirvonen increased to more than 40 seconds.
Thierry Neuville’s double stage wins elevated him to third place overall, he’s now less than 5 seconds behind Citroen’s Mikko Hirvonen who’s still running in second place. M-Sport Ford’s Mads Ostberg dropped to fourth place ahead of Dani Sordo in the second Citroen, the duo are separated by 6 seconds.
Andreas Mikkelsen remains sixth, 33 seconds clear of Volkswagen team-mate Jari-Matti Latvala who suffered from a tyre puncture earlier this morning.
