2016 Rally Mexico results after Day 1

March 4, 2016 – Sebastien Ogier took the early lead in Rally Mexico, the third round of the 2016 World Rally Championship, after going fastest on the opening day of the event.

Three super special stages took place on Thursday, with Ogier winning the second and third stages in his Volkswagen Polo R WRC, while Hyundai’s Thierry Neuville (pictured) set the fastest time on the first stage.

Ogier leads the event, 1.7 seconds ahead of Neuville, whilst the other two Volkswagen drivers Jari-Matti Latvala and Andreas Mikkelsen are 3rd and 4th respectively.
