2016 Spring Rally Final Results

April 10, 2016 – Abdo Feghali secured a commanding victory in the 32nd Spring Rally, the opening round of the 2016 Lebanese Rally Championship, after a dominant performance in the Ford Fiesta R5.

Abdo, alongside co-driver Marc Haddad, was unchallenged throughout the event, winning all eight special stages to take the win by a comfortable 1-minute margin from Mitsubishi Evo X R4 driver Tamer Ghandour, who finished second.

Rodolphe Asmar’s first outing in the Ford Fiesta R5 was spectacular as he finished third overall, whilst Roger Feghali didn’t have any problem in dominating the front-wheel drive category and securing fourth place overall onboard the Citroen DS3 R3.

Rodrigue Rahi (Evo IX) was the quickest in Group N, taking the class win after his main rival Eddy About Karam (Evo X) faced trouble with an open engine cover in SS2 and a broken differential in SS7. Abou Karam’s problems allowed Michel Slaiby (Evo IX) to clinch second place in the class, followed by Ziad Feghali (Evo IX) in third.

Renault Clio R3T driver Henry Massaad was the fastest man behind Roger Feghali in FWD, securing second place in the category, while Bassel Abu Hamdan settled for third in the Citroen DS3 R3.

RC4 class was won by Skoda Fabia R2 driver Majed Khoury, while Tarek Jaber (Clio Sport) finished second in the category and Patrick Njeim retired with mechanical failure in his Peugeot 208 R2.

Matthias Njeim successfully completed his first ever rally in the Suzuki Swift Sport, winning the RC5 class.
