The World Rally Championship resumes this weekend with the tenth round in Australia; Sebastien Ogier goes into the round with a 75-point championship lead over second-placed Qatar M-Sport Ford driver Thierry Neuville. If the Frenchman wins it, he will secure his and Volkswagen’s first ever WRC drivers’ title.
Rally Australia was last featured on the WRC calendar back in 2011, it alternates with Rally New Zealand every year. Mikko Hirvonen won the 2011 event ahead of then team-mate Jari-Matti Latvala, handing Ford a brilliant one-two finish. You can watch highlights of the 2011 Rally Australia in the video below.
