Nasser Al-Attiyah out of Rally of Lebanon!

September 5, 2015 – Nasser Al-Attiyah has failed to complete the third special stage of the 2015 Rally of Lebanon after crashing his Skoda Fabia R5, which means he’s out of the rally and his chances of scoring a first career win are over.

Al-Attiyah was leading the rally, 4.6 seconds ahead of Roger Feghali after the second special stage. He won the super special stage (SS1) yesterday, but lost three seconds to Roger this morning in SS2.

Al-Attiyah joins Eddy Abou Karam in the list of retirements; Abou Karam, who was hoping to fight for the Group N title, had a gearbox issue in his Evo X, which prevented him from leaving the service area this morning.

Both Nasser and French co-driver Matthieu Baumel escaped unharmed.
