Nasser Saleh Al-Attiyah secured his first ever WRC2 title during the final round of the 2014 World Rally Championship in Wales. The Qatari driver had to fight hard to stay within the top 7 as mechanical trouble on his Ford Fiesta RRC saw him fall from second place to eighth place, but a string of consistently fast times helped him regain two positions and finish sixth, to claim his maiden title in WRC2.
