1000hp Nissan GT-R drifts a Hill Climb course in Japan

December 29, 2014 – Japanese automotive magazine Motorhead recently hosted a Hill Climb event on the winding stretch of road that makes up the amazing Mazda Turnpike located on Hakone mountain (in Japan).

The event witnessed a wide range of racing machines from Super GT to classic race cars, along with a 1000-horsepower rear-wheel drive Nissan GT-R drift machine.

The aim of a Hill Climb is to clock the fastest time on a single course, but Masato Kawabata decided to tackle the course sideways in his monster GT-R.
