April 17, 2016 – Xavier Massaad won the opening round of the 2016 Lebanese Speed Test Championship for Superseries and Amateurs categories that took place today in the LBC parking lot in Adma.
Massaad set the fastest overall time onboard the Mitsubishi Evo VII and was the fastest driver in the Superseries category after clocking 1 minute 39.02 seconds, whilst Shady Akl (Evo VII) settled for second place and Pierre Rizk for third (Evo X).
Charbel Makhlouf won the Amateur cup onboard his Volkswagen Golf GTI. Charbel Ghanem in the Renault Clio RS was second in the Amateur class, followed by Elias Haddad in a Honda Civic Type R.
Daniel Terzian won the Renault Sport cup and the front-wheel drive class category, beating Charbel Ghanem and Kamal Karaa who finished second and third respectively in the RS cup.
Rony El Asmar claimed victory in the rear-wheel drive category in a BMW M3 Coupe.
Emilie Feghali won the Ladies Cup in the Superseries category, while Ghada Chebli pulled off a similar feat in the Amateur class.
