April 30, 2017 – The opening round of the 2017 Lebanese Speed Test Championship concluded today with Mitsubishi Evo VII driver Xavier Massaad taking the overall win.
Massaad clocked a fastest time of 1min42.35sec to beat his rivals to the top of the timesheet and claim victory in the Super Series category, while Rawad El Hachem (Mitsubishi Evo VIII) finished 2nd, followed by Pierre Rizk (Mitsubishi Evo X) in third.
Charbel Makhlouf (VW Golf Mk1) snatched first place in the Amateur category, while 2nd and 3rd places in the category went to Charbel Ghanem (Renault Clio RS) and Chadi Abou Assi (Peugeot 205) respectively.
Daniel Terzian (Renault Megane RS) won the RenaultSport Cup, followed by Charbel Ghanem and Marwan Saad (Renault Megane RS) in 2nd and 3rd places.
Khalil Itani drove his Subaru BRZ to victory in the rear-wheel drive Super Series class, whilst Emilie Feghali went home with the Ladies Cup in Super Series and Cleane Daraze the Ladies Cup in Amateur.
Antoine Salem won the L/2 class in his Suzuki Swift Sport.
