Dani Pedrosa kept his title hopes alive after taking a commanding victory at the 2012 Aragon MotoGP. The Spaniard’s pace was completely unmatched, with Jorge Lorenzo finishing 6.4 seconds behind.
Pedrosa is now 33 points behind championship leader Lorenzo with four races to go; the latter had an off moment while trying to catch up with Pedrosa, which could’ve lead to his retirement; he luckily managed to pull through and secure second place though.
Yamaha rider Ben Spies engaged in a battle for third position with the Tech 3s of Andrea Dovizioso and Cal Crutchlow. The American lost the last podium spot after Andrea Dovizioso and his teammate overtook him 10 laps prior to the chequered flag.
Rossi dropped out of the top 20 as a result of running, he then fought his way back up to eighth.
