Heavy rain impeded the second free practice session for the Belgian Grand Prix this weekend with no genuine lap times posted. Mercedes duo Nico Rosberg and Michael Schumacher were the come out on track, with the latter running most, just 4 laps.
Charles Pic posted the fastest time of the session with a 2m49.354s, ahead of Toro Rosso’s Daniel Ricciardo and Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso, while almost half of the grid opted against going out.
Weather forecast predicts no rain for tomorrow’s third practice and qualifying sessions nor for Sunday’s race. The heavy rain has been a huge set back for certain teams with upgrade packages such as Ferrari.
