McLaren continued its strong form as Lewis Hamilton topped the timesheets during the first free practice session in Malaysia. The Briton was half a second faster than the closest car, Sebastian Vettel’s Red Bull.
Mercedes drivers Rosberg and Schumacher were 3rd and 4th, continuing Mercedes’ impressive pace.
The Lotus drivers, seeming quite fast, took 5th and 7th, with Mark Webber seperating the duo in 6th.
Jenson Button was a low 9th, in between the two Force Indias of Paul Di Resta and Nico Hulkenberg.
Ferrari’s woes continues as Felipe Massa took 13th while teammate Alonso only 16th.
