Dani Pedrosa claimed his fourth pole position of the season after edging out title rival Jorge Lorenzo in the final 10 minutes of the Misano MotoGP qualifying session.
Tech 3 rider Cal Crutchlow beat the Hondas of Stefan Bradl and Alvaro Bautista to the last front row position, followed by Ducati rider Valentino Rossi who went sixth fastest.
Jonathan Rea put on a very impressive performance on his MotoGP qualifying debut to secure ninth place ahead of Sunday’s race. Andrea Dovizioso and Ben Spies were right in front in seventh and eighth.
