Sebastien Loeb has moved into the lead of the 2012 Rally Catalunya amid drama for Mads Ostberg who lost ground due to a wrong call followed by a number of mistakes this morning.
Ostberg made the wrong decision during the second stage of the day (SS8) when he opted for hard tyres, only to find out that the road was much wetter than he had expected, thus losing a significant amount of time, which dropped him to third, 29 seconds behind second-placed Jari-Matti Latvala.
Latvala enjoyed a great morning as he went quickest on SS7; the Finn is now trailing Loeb by 18 seconds and still has a shot at victory, while Ostberg is pushing to keep Mikko Hirvonen at bay.
