Shelby American have taken the wraps off their Super Snake package for the 2013 Ford Mustang which is set to make its first public appearance at the Barrett-Jackson collector car auction in Las Vegas.
Power for the entry-level model comes from a supercharger 5.8-liter V8 engine with 662 horsepower, and if that’s not enough for you, Shelby is offering a Whipple or Kenne Bell supercharger that increases power output to a massive 850 horsepower.
The car features a fiberglass hood, 20-inch alloy wheels, sport-tuned suspension, Wilwood brakes, an upgraded cooling system and optional 13-inch wide rear tires.
Only 500 Shelby GT500 Super Snakes will roll off the assembly line with prices ranging between $29,000 (in the US) for the entry-level model to $40,000 for the high-performance variant.
