Mercedes-Benz is replacing the ongoing SLS AMG with an updated version dubbed the SLS AMG GT. Available in both Coupe and Convertible variants, the updated model focuses on technical changes as well as a revamped interior.
A reprogrammed ECU now gives the 6.3L V8 engine a power boost of 20 horsepower, which brings the total output to 583 horsepower. The engine is coupled to a revised AMG Speedshift DCT 7-speed double-clutch transmission sending the car from a stand-still to 100km/h in 3.7 seconds, 0.1 seconds faster than the current model.
The interior has been completely re-upholstered with black leather and Alcantara contrasted with red stitching, red seat belts and red center console in addition to glossy black AMG trim
It is expected to go on sale in October of this year.
