2013 Monte Carlo Rally – Day 2: Loeb extends lead

Sebastien Loeb has extended his lead to 1 minute and 35 seconds during the second day of action in Monte Carlo, while Ogier made it clear that he “doesn’t care” if his Citroen rival wins.

With Loeb taking part in only four rounds this year, the Volkswagen driver is happy to let his fellow compatriot win, provided that his main rivals remain behind.

Ogier is currently second overall with a comfortable 1 minute cushion over Citroen rival Dani Sordo.

Despite winning his first WRC stage on SS9, Juho Hanninen lost sixth place to Jari-Matti Latvala, with the latter now chasing Mikko Hirvonen who’s struggling to keep his fifth place.

Mads Ostberg was also dissatisfied with his performance having lost eighth place to Bryan Bouffier.
