Undoubtedly Volkswagen’s most important and best-selling model, the seventh generation of the Golf has been spied testing around the Nurburgring.
Out of all Golf variants, the one spied in the pictures is the Golf GTI; notice the large alloy wheels, lowered body and side skirts.
The Mk7 GTI is expected to come in 5-door, 3-door and convertible versions, while featuring typical GTI styling such as a honeycomb front grille design, red trims and sporty interior.
Power-wise the car will be equipped with an updated 230hp 4-cylinder turbocharged engine – seen on the outgoing model – mated to either a six-speed manual gearbox or an optional seven-speed dual clutch transmission.
