2013 WRC Wales Rally GB: Ogier maintains lead, Kubica crashes again

Volkswagen’s Sebastien Ogier has successfully maintained his Wales Rally GB lead after a consistent run throughout Saturday. The Frenchman couldn’t win a single stage, however, the gap to team-mate Jari-Matti Latvala remains a healthy 20 seconds.

The latter (Latvala) looked very strong this morning, winning three out of today’s seven special stages; he’s now in a comfortable position, with almost a minute separating him from Qatar M-Sport Ford’s Thierry Neuville.

Volkswagen’s third driver Andreas Mikkelsen moved up to fourth place and is slowly pulling away from M-Sport Ford’s Mads Ostberg. Robert Kubica’s World Rally Car debut has been a complete disaster so far; after rolling his DS3 on SS4 yesterday, the Pole crashed again on Saturday’s second special stage (SS11) due to pace note error.
