Mercedes’ British driver Lewis Hamilton clocked the fastest lap during the third and final free practice session for the 2014 Italian Grand Prix at the Monza Circuit. Hamilton lapped the high-speed track in 1 minute 25.519 seconds, almost half a second quicker than Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso who finished second, while Hamilton’s teammate Nico Rosberg sat out most of the session due to a gearbox problem on his Mercedes.
