Nasser Al-Attiyah has closed on the Kuwait International Rally victory after extending his lead to 20 seconds on Saturday’s morning loop, which consisted of three special stages. Al-Attiyah won the first two stages, while main rival Khalid Al-Qassimi shaved just 0.1 seconds off the Qatari’s time by going fastest on the third stage (SS10).
Saudi Arabia’s Yazeed Al-Rajhi remains third overall, more than a minute behind Al-Qassimi, with Abdullah Al-Qassimi hanging onto fourth ahead of Salah Bin Eidan with just three stages to go till the end of the rally.
