2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class detailed

Mercedes’ S-Class has been, without a doubt, one of the world’s most technologically advanced vehicles since its inception in 1954; and with 2014 closing in, the German brand is preparing to unveil the 9th generation.

But before any official photos, Mercedes decided to give us a glimpse of just how advanced the ninth-gen S-Class will be by releasing some technological details featured on the luxury saloon.

The new S-Class will have four cameras working together with other sensors, in addition to a Distronic Plus system with Steering Assist which will help the driver keep his lane and even follow the vehicle in front of him through slow traffic automatically.

Safety features on the 2014 S-Class are pretty much countless, so here’s a list that sums them up: Active Seat-belt Buckle, Active Parking Assist, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Active Blind Spot Assist, Beltbag and Night View Assist Plus.

It is expected to publicly appear during the first half of 2013.
