Volkswagen’s Jari Matti Latvala kept his Rally Finland going into the fourth and final day. However, teammate Sebastien Ogier managed to close the gap to just 3 seconds due to brake problems on Latvala’s Polo WRC on Saturday afternoon.
Ogier won four of the afternoon’s five special stages and is expected to battle for victory with his teammate tomorrow, while Citroen’s Kris Meeke seems in a comfortable third place, almost 50 seconds ahead of nearest competitor Andreas Mikkelsen (VW).
M-Sport Ford’s Mikko Hirvonen inherited fifth place overall from Mads Ostberg (Citroen) who was forced to retire from the rally due to rollcage damage on his DS3 WRC.
