Volkswagen’s Jari-Matti Latvala leads the way in Rally Finland after eight special stages, the first four of which were contested yesterday night. Latvala has been in stellar form so far, winning five special stages and creating an 8-second gap to teammate Sebastien Ogier who’s in second place.
Citroen’s Kris Meeke lies third overall following some very fast and consistent times; he is trailed by M-Sport Ford’s Mikko Hirvonen and third VW driver Andreas Mikkelsen.
There are five more special stages to go, all part of Friday’s second loop, before the end of the day.
