Lewis Hamilton edged Mercedes team mate Nico Rosberg by just 0.007s to claim his sixth pole position of the season in a hugely competitive qualifying session at Marina Bay on Saturday evening.
Red Bull’s Daniel Ricciardo and Sebastian Vettel claimed third and fourth, while Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso saw off the challenge of Williams’ Felipe Massa to take fifth.
